Join SBA Today!

All students currently enrolled at the University of Houston Law Center are active members of the Student Bar Association (SBA).

As of June 19, 2025, the SBA has officially discontinued its paid membership model in favor of a more inclusive and equitable structure. You no longer need to pay dues to access SBA-sponsored programming, events, or leadership opportunities.

What This Means for You

  • Automatic Membership: All currently enrolled UHLC students are SBA members. No registration or payment required.
  • Access to Events & Initiatives: SBA events, programs, and leadership opportunities are now open to all UHLC students—completely free.
  • Legacy Members: Students who paid for membership on or before May 1, 2025, will retain the full scope of benefits associated with paid SBA membership through graduation or May 1, 2027 (whichever comes first).

How to Get Involved

Even without dues, there are many ways to participate:

  • Attend SBA-hosted events and workshops
  • Volunteer at programming and tabling sessions
  • Apply for Representative, Associate, or Committee positions
  • Stay informed by following SBA on Instagram and LinkedIn
