Class Representative Elections

Overview

The Student Bar Association (SBA) elections are a fundamental part of our governance, offering students the chance to shape their educational and social environment at the University of Houston Law Center. Through these elections, students can engage directly in the decision-making processes by voting for or becoming Class Representatives.

Representative Election Details

Class Representative elections occur every year at the start of the fall semester (between late August and mid-September). Each 1L section (A, B, C, & E) may elect up to two representatives. The 2L, 3L, and post-1L part-time classes may each elect one representative. Voting is restricted to Law Center students within their respective constituencies.

Campaign Guidelines

The campaign period is designed to emphasize a focused and concise presentation of candidate platforms. Detailed guidelines are provided in the SBA By-Laws to ensure a fair and effective election process.
