The Associate Board of the Student Bar Association plays a vital role in enhancing the student experience and advancing the SBA’s mission at the Law Center. By working closely with the Executive Board, the Associate Board focuses on enriching the student experience through targeted initiatives.

What Does The Associate Board Do?

Community Engagement: Spearheaded by the Community & Outreach Associate, the board organizes activities that promote community involvement and social responsibility, creating lasting impacts within the law center community and beyond.

Event Planning: The Small Events Associate and Community & Outreach Associate coordinate a variety of social and athletic events that enhance the student experience at the Law Center. From organizing cultural celebrations to facilitating friendly sports competitions amongst Law Center students and other Houston law schools, the board aims to put on events that foster connections and contribute to our vibrant community.

Professional Development: The board facilitates professional growth through events that encourage knowledge exchange and networking within the legal community. Furthermore, collaborations with the State Bar of Texas provide Law Center students with access to a wide network of legal professionals and resources.
